...starts tonight! (Secretly I have always wanted to do this) (Go read the whole post at emaymusic.com) WINGING IT WEDNESDAY (TONIGHT AT 8:30EST ). This is a test. This is only a test. Who knows what will happen! Just show up if you want to see some wicked weird and wacky stuff (Maybe there will be songs?? But who knows. I could juggle.) FRIDAY FIRSTS (FRIDAY 3/20 AT 8 PM) --- I wrote THREE new songs this week already -- you'll hear them here first! I'll fill the rest of the set with new(ish) original songs you'll likely be hearing for the first time. SONGWRITER SATURDAY (3/21 at 11AM) -- the first cover song set. I'll lay heavy into my favorite songwriters and take requests for covers of your favorite songwriters. We can talk about the songs, about the artist, or anything else, because on Instagram you can JOIN me on the screen (just click "request to join video" if you want to chat with me live!) SUNDAY FUNDAY (3/22 at 8pm). An All-Request Hour (or so)! Send me songs in advance or list them in the chat. You can request my originals or songs you've heard me play or some random cover song you want to hear me sing. I'm (usually) pretty good at the all-request thing, so let's give it a try! LUNCHTIME LISTENING (Next Tuesday and Thursday from Noon-1pm) -- I'll play a curated mix of songs good for eating lunch or working-from-home to. BABY'S IN BED (Next Wednesday from 8-10pm). Put 'em down for the night and come jam with me! A good mix of originals and requests. We'll see how this all goes and, if there are any that are particularly fun for you or for me, I may repeat some of these for next week! I'm also in cahoots with some artist friends about how we can collaborate virtually, some of which may be live-streamed as well. Stay tuned! My heart is with all of you. Truly. I am truly sorry that this is not everyone's experience, but for this moment at least, I feel lucky - my favorite in-person classes and gatherings are going online, friends are reaching out more frequently, things that would have meant long hours or hard drives have suddenly disappeared. We have been asked to Stop. Breathe. Pause. Decide what is important. This is not so terrible. We will face financial hardships, as musicians and hourly workers and those who have and will loose their income. But we are creative and resilient. Our health and our bodies are most important, and it is important to protect and help those who need it. So let's stay close, friends, even from a distance. Do you need anything now? How can your people (including me) be of service to your heart, your peace of mind, your wellbeing? Please reach out, either to offer your support or to receive it. Both are blessings. And, if you are lucky and healthy, please stay mindful. For this brief window of 'Now,' let us stay in, walk in nature, rest, keep healthy. Pause. Rejuvenate. This is what is being asked of all of us. I love you. E.

If I have been off the socials, here is why! I have had the pleasure of sharing songwriting, music recording, and production tips with the amazing students across Pendleton county. These kids are so bright and enthusiastic and it has been such a delight. I have been flashing back to the work I did with @slbradio and how much I learned while teaching -- these guys are giving me such a similar experience. I can't wait to see how my songwriting has changed as a result of the influence these kids have had on me. What a blast! #pendletoncountywv
